Laura Hinton reviews Salvatore’s Bar in The Playboy Club – an iconic venue in the heart of Mayfair
Following the addition of a new head chef, Salvatore’s has updated its bar menu giving it a fresh, modern feel.
The fish and chips main was succulent and light, perfectly complementing the crunchy beer battered hake was chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce. The lobster sliders and fries from the small bites section were also tasty and surprisingly filling.
But while the food is excellent, it’s the world famous cocktails that Salvadore’s prides itself on. The Spicy Fifty cocktail, consisting of Stoli vanilla vodka, elderflower cordial, fresh lime, honey syrup and chilli pepper, has the perfect bitter sharp blend with a kick to finish.
The bar also boasts a collection of rare vintage cognacs – some going back to the 1700s – which is sure to delight connoisseurs. Upstairs, the world-class casino with its iconic bunny croupiers offers luxury sports and gaming around the clock.
What? An award-winning piano and cocktail bar with outstanding service
Why choose Salvatore’s? If you’re looking for something a little bit special. Decadent and flamboyant with a young and wealthy crowd Salvatore’s is sure to impress.
